April 2017

From a numerology perspective, 2017 is a year of ONE. A year of new beginnings. While I don’t study or even claim to understand numerology, I do enjoy using it, reflecting with it, and I absolutely can observe this from mySELF, both inner and outer aspects of myself. I also easily observe this from and with others as I listen to their stories of “moving”, new condos, new homes, downsizing, simplifying, clearing clutter, untangling emotional binds, limiting or leaving co-dependent functioning and relationships, new territories being explored and developed, practical applications of ancient inner wisdom and clarity of mind of what matters and what doesn’t. I have and witness a new integrity to self, others, life, and potential.

I’m very excited about this year. I continue to get the message, the thought, the idea, and the images that reflect the reality of “This is the Year.” Understanding that the power of our words, intentionality, actions, and actual belief systems are the driving forces for our experience, it seems important and exciting to give focus, attention, and energy in this direction.

My schedule has me in my stomping grounds during April and May. Spring time has always been my favorite season too. Many reasons, including the new life, blooms, buds, proof of the value of the winter, color, and an expressive energy. So come out and see me in Nashville, New York, Cincinnati, Fort Wayne, Louisville, Bugtussle for Mother’s Day and graduations.

David Roth, a extraordinarily talented singer, songwriter, performer, and miracle maker is joining me in Cincinnati. He is “Where song, spirit and speaking meet”. Find a way to GET THERE and bring a bunch with you. You’ll see why soon.

What is your super power? What are truly passionate about? What are you committed to and for? I would love to hear from you and find meaningful ways to support you in actually making this “your year” as well.

I have the fullest schedule that I’ve ever had and while it seems impossible for a full schedule to be fuller, it is true. From the book A Year of Yes, I heard again the FOD (First Only Different) concept. (See last month’s newsletter for details). While I am really practiced at saying YES, what I am not as practiced in YET, is saying YES to what interest me, uplifts me, strengthens and inspires me. I’m fully aware this will seem like bologna to many of you readers as your perspective of me is that I am living a “vacation” life all the time. While you are close to being right, along with this life, come years and years and years, decades of work, workshops, writing, reading, thinking, emoting, discerning, praying, teaching, preaching, planning, trying, failing, trying again, learning, growing, believing, not believing, doubting, all heaped up by a firm foundation of WILLING.

Within this schedule of gatherings, events, facilitations, workshops, retreats, journeys in and through the heart in every aspect, and as transparently as I live, I ASSUME everyone knows the schedule, the opportunities, the blessings available. Then I hear, I would have “loved” to join you there. I would “love to go to Unity Village”. I would love to hear you present. I would love to be at the beach. I would love to do a women’s retreat. I would love to know the people you hang out with. I would love to do something for myself. I would love to LIVE BEFORE I DIE. What is your I would love to:______________?

My bucket list includes “fulfilling other people’s bucket list.” Hopefully not in such a co-dependent way as the past, but in a way of an influencer, inspirer, co-inspirator, idea sharer, miracle maker, possibility thinker, resourcer, and in a dreamer with action steps way. So speak it out, lift it up, dream it outloud, ask for support, prayer and ideas. Time to live.

I am committed to going an extra mile to get this information into your mailboxes, FB pages, and possibilities field, from the part of my heart that wants to be with you and wants you to benefit from the myriad of ways I’ve been benefitted and blessed.

Included in this newsletter is information about four separate and different retreats I will be facilitating this year in addition to the other workshops, seminars, and speaking engagements already scheduled. During one of the MANY birthday brunches with new friends in Ft. Lauderdale area, one of the men was a school teacher and talked openly about the challenges he faces with a classroom of students that are all below the poverty line. He didn't present it as judgmental, more factual and realistic with the struggles of kids when they are under stressful situations. I really connected with both the teacher and the student through that listening and I asked the teacher “to remember” that I was once one of those students and that we never know who is in the audience we are serving.

So there you have it—my invitations to LIVE, LIVE, LIVE, and then LIVE some more. To life and to the abundance of support all around us. Holding you in my heart and mind and believing that RETREAT is possible too.

“Self care is the greatest gift I can give my family, loved ones, relationships, the world.”
~ Martha Creek

“I have learned that I must push the pause button occasionally and retreat into that private place in my soul where it is only me and God!”
~ Peggy Toney Horton, Stop the World and Get Off

“In order to understand the world, one has to turn away from it on occasion.”
~ Albert Camus, The Myth of Sisyphus and Other Essays

“My words are not important. What is important is silent listening. What is important is that my words are not coming from my mind, but from my deepest silence.”
~ Osho

“Like a snake sheds its skin, we are capable of getting rid of assembled habits, creating space to call matters into question. Instead of the Shakespearian “To be or not to be” we could favor “to become or not to become”. By “becoming”, we challenge the range of possibilities in our life and go beyond the merely “being”. We can retreat, then, from the imprisonment of a deadly routine, acquire an identity, and develop our personality .”
~ Erik Pevernagie
